The Pearce Museum at Navarro College
The Pearce Museum at Navarro College is located on the Corsicana, Texas campus of Navarro College in the Cook Education Center. Three unique and nationally significant collections (Civil War and Texas History, Modern Western Art and Prehistoric Central Texas) are interpreted in interactive, visitor-friendly galleries. The American Civil War gallery interprets our Nation's bloodiest conflict through first-person accounts from both sides of the War drawn from our collection over over 16,000 letters and diaries. The Western Art Gallery hosts revolving displays of original artwork celebrating the American West. The "Hunter-Gatherers of the Blackland Prairie" Gallery tells the story of the earliest inhabitants of Central Texas and houses 44,000 prehistoric artifacts. The Pearce Museum also houses Civil War and Navarro College Research Archives, open by appointment.
