More than just an amusement park, Cedar Point features hotels, restaurants, beautiful grounds along with an impressive variety of thrill-rides.

The Sanctuary's living museum is home to over 30 different species of native songbirds and raptors, that due to an injury can no longer survive in the wild. These birds permanently reside at that Sanctuary as ambassadors for their species. All live bird displays are outside and wheelchair and stroller accessible. Parking is limited. Please do not park along the entrance drive or on Orweiler Road. An admission fee to enter the bird display area supports the care of our birds. $3/ child (under 2 years free) and $5/adult (16 years and over) $3 for military and individuals residing in assisted living centers. No entry or hiking the trails before or after open hours (Open: Tues-Sat 10am-4pm, Sun 12 noon-4pm)

This city park is loaded with features which are free to the public including trails, labyrinth, gardens, lake, splash pads (summer only) and playgrounds. There is a Senior Center that has activities and lunch (for a fee). During the summer months, there is a concessions stand and rentals available (for a fee). Ellwood Mesa Open Space area (which includes the Goleta Butterfly Grove) and parking lot are currently closed due to impacts from the February 2024 storm. Many trees have fallen and there is the potential for more to fall. Thank you for your cooperation. Monarch butterflies migrate each year to the Goleta Butterfly Grove to find protection from freezing temperatures and winter storms. They can usually be seen here from mid-October through February. Monarch populations have varied greatly in recent years, from almost none in 2020-2021 to over 26,000 in 2023-2024. Eucalyptus trees in the grove have suffered greatly over the last decade from beetles, extended drought and winter storms. The City of Goleta is working to enhance the butterfly habitat, protect the public, and reduce the risk of fire.
