El Paso Winery
El Paso Winery is located on the west side of the Hudson River and approximately 75 miles north of New York City and northern New Jersey in the scenic and historic Hudson Valley. The picturesque 100-year old barn/tasting room invites you to taste for free, relax with a glass or bottle of wine, and enjoy a peaceful respite. There's not a lot going on here -- no grape stomping, no loud music, no clowns painting kids' faces. Just a simple place to quietly enjoy talking with your partner or a few friends -- it's kind of like home. There are cheeses in the frig, snacks and crackers at the bar, and of course, probably some of the best New York State wines produced and bottled here on the premises. And, best of all, I almost forgot to tell you about the views of the Shawangunk Mountains from the expansive deck. Another "best of all" is the gift shop! Almost no one leaves without bringing home a "hand-painted" piece of artwork by Donna Stackhouse.
