Casa Larga Vineyards
Casa Larga Vineyards – We are now celebrating 45 years of producing award winning Finger Lakes wines. In 1974, Mr. C planted the first two acres in Fairport, NY, naming it Casa Larga after his grandparents' vineyards in Italy. The first harvest came in 1978 and won three awards at the NYS Wine Competition. Estate White (currently Pallido) and Estate Red (currently Tramonto) were those first wines. Mr. C's dream came true and passion, patience and tenderness were his gifts to the vines and the wines they produced. Mr. C's hobby matured into a larger business, and Casa Larga became the 21st licensed winery in New York State. Casa Larga has now entered the golden era of New York State winemaking, becoming an icon, as well as a sparkling jewel of the Finger Lakes and Rochester regions. We are home to the New York State Ice Wine Festival every February and the Purple Foot Grape Stomping Festival every September. Experience the Italian Way of Living, with wine, food and family.

Battlefield House Museum & Park
One of the first houses to be built in Stoney Creek, Battlefield House was the home of the Gage family from 1796 until 1835. During these settlement years of the early 19th century, James and Mary Gage cleared and worked the land with their ten children and became well-known for their warm hospitality. The War of 1812 had a direct impact on the Gage family as they found themselves confined to their home when American soldiers occupied their land when a battle broke out during the early morning hours of June 6, 1813. The resulting British victory at the Battle of Stoney Creek was crucial in helping to prevent the Americans from seizing Upper Canada. Less than one hundred years later, in 1899, Sara Calder, grand-daughter of James and Mary Gage and first president of the Women's Wentworth Historical Society, led the purchase and preservation of the homestead. Further recognition of the significant event that took place on this property came in the year 1913, when the 100-foot tall Battlefield Monument was opened, standing as a symbol of peace and commemorating those soldiers who died at the Battle of Stoney Creek.

Big Lake Brewing
Founded in 2009, we started as the brainchild of three engineers living in Holland, Michigan. Two of us were devoted home brewers for years, working in a garage with a Sabco Brewmagic and perfecting our recipes. That half barrel system eventually turned into a three barrel system in a 3000 square foot pub with sixty seats. With an emphasis on quality ingredients, consistent recipes, and a passion for quality control, our three barrel system soon turned into a seven barrel system with a small canning line. Within three years of opening the pub, demand grew and we opened a production facility with a fifteen barrel brewhouse. A year later we moved out of the 3000 square foot pub into a 7000 square foot brewery with a full kitchen. Growth hasn’t come easy for us, but with a foundation built around quality, consistency, and a passion for good beer, Big Lake Brewing has grown more than we could have imagined and we’re excited to see what the future holds. Live with passion, love life.
