Mahoning Valley Railroad Heritage Association
A museum of railroading and rail transportation in the Mahoning Valley. With over two dozen railcars and locomotives in the collection, Marter Yard has the largest assemblage of historic rail equiment in the area. Railroading was an important part of the industrial development of the Mahoning Valley and Marter Yard aims to preserve that history by presenting a park like atmosphere.

J&L Narrow Gauge Railroad
The J&L Narrow Gauge Railroad operates an actual steam locomotive over a short stretch of track in Youngstown, OH. Visitors can ride behind our 1937 Porter saddle tank locomotive that once moved steel ingots at a Pittsburgh steel mill, as well as see various other pieces of railroading and steelmaking equipment on display. Operated entirely by volunteers, the J&LNG is also the only regularly scheduled operating steam locomotive in northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania.

The Bryce Jordan Center, located on the campus of the Pennsylvania State University, is centrally located within the state of Pennsylvania and the only entertainment facility of its size in the region. Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway
Lehigh Gorge trains, a trademark of the Reading and Northern Railroad, take a 70 minute round-trip tour following the Lehigh River over bridges, through Glen Onoko, into the Lehigh Gorge State Park. High-rising cliffs and mountain scenery surround the train along the route to Old Penn Haven. You will see hikers, rafters, mountain bikers, and wildlife along the railroad. You will learn about railroad lore, wildlife, the history of the anthracite coal region, and the people who launched America into the Industrial Age.
