Ohio Bird Sanctuary
The Sanctuary's living museum is home to over 30 different species of native songbirds and raptors, that due to an injury can no longer survive in the wild. These birds permanently reside at that Sanctuary as ambassadors for their species. All live bird displays are outside and wheelchair and stroller accessible. Parking is limited. Please do not park along the entrance drive or on Orweiler Road. An admission fee to enter the bird display area supports the care of our birds. $3/ child (under 2 years free) and $5/adult (16 years and over) $3 for military and individuals residing in assisted living centers. No entry or hiking the trails before or after open hours (Open: Tues-Sat 10am-4pm, Sun 12 noon-4pm)

The first era of the Lexington Brewing Co. began in the 1890s and came to a halt during Prohibition, changing ownership several times in the decades that followed. By the time Pearse Lyons and his son, Mark, explored the brewery in 1999, it was a dilapidated shell of what it had once been. However, Pearse was a visionary and entrepreneur and saw only what it could be. Spurred by a passion for brewing and distilling that courses through the Lyons family lineage of Irish coopers, Pearse revived Lexington Brewing Co. and restored a craft beer tradition that dates back to the 1700s. Pearse continued to dream big as he set his sights on distilling — a natural progression given his background in fermentation, his family’s heritage and Kentucky’s bourbon tradition. Two copper pot stills that were commissioned from Scotland arrived at Lexington Brewing Co. in 2008. The Arkansas Railroad Museum exhibits the history of railroading in Arkansas with a special emphasis on the St. Louis Southwestern Railway, more commonly known as the Cotton Belt Railroad. Housed in the Cotton Belt Backshop building, featuring Cotton Belt steam locomotive 819, which was built in this very building in 1942, the last steam locomotive built in Arkansas. Exhibits also include cabooses (cabeese?), passenger cars, freight cars, diesel locomotives, and a large collection of smaller artifacts of railroad history including timetables, tools, telegraph equipment, pictures, and much more. We are open 9 AM to 2 PM Monday through Saturday, but please call ahead if you are bringing a large group or arriving late, we can often accommodate special requests.

Messina Hof Grapevine Winery is located in Historic Downtown Grapevine at The Wallis Hotel. The original Wallis Hotel was built in 1891 by Johnny Wallis for his sister, Susan. The Wallis Hotel often accommodated traveling salesmen and other agricultural business leaders. The Wallis family ran the hotel until 1926, and it was eventually torn down in the 1930s. A replica was built on Main Street, which is where Messina Hof Grapevine calls home, many original pieces are on display in the winery. Many have often stopped to take a picture with the, "Sidewalk Judge", who sits on the park bench outside the hotel and monitors everyone's comings and goings. A salute to Grapevine's old-timers who could determine if a stranger who had come to town was in trouble or down on his luck. This location is Messina Hof’s first urban winery and also features multiple tasting areas with 40 different wines, tastings & premium flights, wine on tap by the glass or growler, gourmet food items & accessories.
