Casa Larga Vineyards
Casa Larga Vineyards – We are now celebrating 45 years of producing award winning Finger Lakes wines. In 1974, Mr. C planted the first two acres in Fairport, NY, naming it Casa Larga after his grandparents' vineyards in Italy. The first harvest came in 1978 and won three awards at the NYS Wine Competition. Estate White (currently Pallido) and Estate Red (currently Tramonto) were those first wines. Mr. C's dream came true and passion, patience and tenderness were his gifts to the vines and the wines they produced. Mr. C's hobby matured into a larger business, and Casa Larga became the 21st licensed winery in New York State. Casa Larga has now entered the golden era of New York State winemaking, becoming an icon, as well as a sparkling jewel of the Finger Lakes and Rochester regions. The Gardens offers a variety of horticultural education programs for adults and children. The centerpiece attraction of the Gardens is the Inasmuch Foundation Crystal Bridge Conservatory. It is 224 feet long, 70 feet in diameter, and is covered by 3,028 sections of translucent, double-layered acrylic panels. After an 18-month, $11 million renovation, it reopened to the public on November 18, 2022.
