Abravanel Hall first opened in September 1979, and was originally known as Symphony Hall, but was renamed in May 1993 for Maurice Abravanel, conductor of the Utah Symphony. The building was designed by FFKR Architects and acoustical design services were provided by Dr. Cyril M. Harris with the outcome of creating an environment of acoustic excellence. The hall is rectangular in shape, similar to some of the world’s finest symphony halls. Suspended from the ceiling are six brass chandeliers with 18,000 hand-cut beads and prisms of Bohemian crystals imported from Austria and Czechoslovakia. The lobby is four stories high with a white oak and brass ceiling and a glass wall covering the East face of the lobby. The lobby itself is an architectural marvel due to its many tiers, the staircase that goes upwards with gold leafing that covers all visible sides of the stairs and balconies, and the 30-foot-high Olympic Tower red blown-glass sculpture by renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly.

Ken Sanders Rare Books is a full-service antiquarian bookshop founded in 1997. We are located at 209 E 500 S inside the Leonardo Museum in downtown Salt Lake City. Our store has three levels: the main floor, the rare room, and the underground. We have a vast inventory of used and rare books, a handful of new books, and an ever-changing selection of art, ephemera, maps, photographs, and postcards. We also offer book purchasing and appraisal services.

Once the site of Utah Territorial Prison, this park is a lot more pleasant today, with a gently rolling landscape great for running.

Red Butte Garden is the largest botanical garden in the Intermountain West and, together with the University of Utah, is the state arboretum. Journey back in time to the days when the Dryosaurus roamed and the Tyrannosaurus rex ruled at this outdoor six-acre park that displays giant dinosaurs complete with sound effects like crashing trees and earth moving footsteps. The complex also includes a museum that features hands-on exhibits of the latest fossil finds from Utah and around the world.

This 127-acre wildlife sanctuary offers hands-on field classes for children, teachers and adults and a rehabilitation facility for hundreds of injured and orphaned wild birds.

Delightful city park offers a peaceful and green oasis in the middle of downtown Ogden, featuring tennis courts, picnic areas, walking paths and a children's garden.

Instead of sand bunkers, this eighteen-hole golf course features long rough in front of and around the greens.

Creekside Campground is located just 6 miles South of Historic Idaho City. 10 RV or tent camping spots have no hookups. This campground is located next to Mores Creek right off Ponderosa Pine Scenic Byway. Enjoy fishing for trout in the creek or just cooling off during the day. Campground has vaulted bathroom privy, central fire pit in common area & each campsite has post mounted BBQ grills and picnic tables. Playground area and horse shoe pits are also available for campers enjoyment.

Idaho's metropolitan college is located one mile from the downtown area.
