Ocala Civic Theatre has been uplifting, inspiring, and entertaining our community for more than 70 years. Founded in 1950, OCT is one of the largest community theatres in the state and serves 65,000 local residents each season. We are able to present professional-quality live performances thanks to the talents and dedication of our volunteers, staff, and guest designers. In addition, OCT’s Education & Enrichment programs reach more than 1,000 learners of all ages year-round through skill-building and performance classes. Celebrating 70 Years of OCT History! Our story began on March 3, 1950 at the first organizational meeting of The Marion Players, a group of young people who decided Ocala needed a “little theatre.” They had a wide variety of theatrical talents and experience, and they all shared a deep desire to provide the highest quality entertainment for local audiences.

Established in 1988, Cimarrone is a semi private club whose mission is to provide a private club experience for its members and guests. The golf course is a David Poselthwait championship design that meanders through the pine forests and thick marshlands of North Florida. The 6,900 yard layout plays along a mildly rolling terrain with significant fairway and green side mounds and plentiful water hazards. Rated 4 stars out of five by Golf Digest Places to Play, the course was chosen as one of the Top 100 Golf Courses in Florida. Golf amenities include practice facilities that feature a targets natural grass range, short game areas with sand bunker and putting green. In addition, Cimarrone Golf and Country Club has a 10,000 square foot clubhouse that features a beautiful restaurant and lounge, plus banquet and golf outing facilities that can accommodate over 140 people. The clubhouse can be made available for use by our members at a discounted rate. Cimarrone Golf and Country Club membership opportunities are being offered for a limited time. Depot Park is a signature city park in downtown Gainesville providing a space for unique public outdoor enjoyment. Depot features a children's adventure play area with a custom splash pad of waterfalls, water soakers, and ground jets. The Stephen C. O'Connell Center, also known as the O'Dome, is an 11,000-plus-seat multi-purpose arena located on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville, Florida. The facility is located on the northern side of the university's campus, and has been home to many concerts and sporting events since it's opening in 1980. The arena plays host to seven University of Florida Athletic Teams.
