Hidden inside the historic Kern Building, behind The Oliver Hotel lobby, is Knoxville’s one and only speakeasy, The Peter Kern Library. Once a well-kept secret, the bar is now a beloved institution. The dark wood, fireplace, rows of books, and cocktails named after literary characters create a warm and cozy atmosphere where time seems to stop.

Muse Knoxville is a children’s Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Math (STEAM) museum located in Chilhowee Park. Our programs in the museum, in schools across East Tennessee, & throughout Knoxville bring STEM, the arts, health & wellness, & emergent literacy to life in the minds of children. Ijams Nature Center is a 315-acre member- and visitor-supported nonprofit organization, where people of all ages can hike, bike, paddle, climb, learn, explore, or simply enjoy nature in Knoxville, TN. The grounds and trails are open every day from 8:00am until dusk. The Visitor Center, including exhibits, gift shop, offices, and restrooms are open during regular business hours. Admission to the park is free, and we gladly accept donations. Fees for programs and special events vary. Established in 1910 by the Ijams (pronounced "EYE-ams") family for bird-watchers and nature-lovers, Ijams Nature Center has been ranked one of Knoxville's top three attractions by TripAdvisor, winning their 2016 Certificate of Excellence . The Asheville Museum of Science (AMOS) is Western North Carolina’s home for experiential science learning, discovery, and exploration. AMOS strives to spark the imagination and foster lifelong curiosity. We have plenty of science to come and explore including the Colburn Hall of Minerals, STEM lab, interactive panorama screen, Teratophoneus dinosaur skeleton and fossil dig, Southern Appalachian Forest tree climb, Terrabox elevation simulator, Toddler Nest, fun temporary exhibits, and museum store.

Lexington Glassworks, located in the heart of downtown Asheville, NC, was born out of the desire to create timeless and innovative hand-blown glass. Each piece is skillfully crafted using century-old techniques with the singular goal of creating top-notch work. The gallery features high-quality custom lighting and handmade glass for any budget. Lexington Glassworks is a makers studio where the public is invited to view the artists at work.

The Shoeless Joe Jackson Museum and Baseball Library is an independent, non-profit organization located in the former home of Joe and his wife, Katie. We are dedicated to honoring the life and preserving the legacy of the greatest natural hitter to ever play the game. Through the research, collection, and display of many original artifacts, photos, and countless books in our on-site research library, we provide comprehensive context for Joe's place in baseball history. In addition to dispelling myths and educating the public about the truth of Joe's life and career, our mission is to be an active, contributing member within our local communities, continuing to grow the game of baseball for generations to come.

Roper Mountain Science Center’s mission is to ignite the natural curiosity of all learners to explore and shape their world. Located just off of I-385 at Roper Mountain Road, Roper Mountain contains an array of state-of-the-art educational facilities on its 62-acre campus. Visitors experience the latest in STEM education through interactive exhibits and several hands-on activities.
