The Legendary Green Man has existed for centuries but it’s no myth that he’s been brewing great beer in Asheville since 1997. As home to one of North Carolina’s oldest breweries, tasting rooms and sour programs, Green Man has been producing some of the beer scene’s most iconic ales for many years. We are consistently recognized for our internationally loved traditional English styles and creative versions of the newest craft trends. Our brewers strive to bring innovative and exciting new flavors to all beer-loving folks. From Asheville’s first tasting room to one of Downtown Asheville’s largest tasting rooms, our storied growth has brought us to 2 brew houses, 3 tasting rooms, and 2 buildings. Our newest facility in Asheville’s South Slope Neighborhood is a 3 story, 22,000 sqft. packaging hall and specialty brewhouse including a “brewtique” and an indoor/outdoor taproom loft overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. We feature 25 fabulous, local clay artists in our gallery in the River Arts District of Asheville, North Carolina. Our artists make both functional pottery and sculptural ceramic art. Each piece on display in our gallery is ready to go home with you to enliven your life.

Brian Boggs is an internationally acclaimed chairmaker with over 30 years of fine woodworking experience. He and his team of craftsmen handcraft heirloom-quality furniture with a focus on design, craftsmanship, and sustainability. Due to an abundance of caution around the COVID-19 virus, we are suspending workshop tours until further notice.

Lexington Glassworks, located in the heart of downtown Asheville, NC, was born out of the desire to create timeless and innovative hand-blown glass. Each piece is skillfully crafted using century-old techniques with the singular goal of creating top-notch work. The gallery features high-quality custom lighting and handmade glass for any budget. Lexington Glassworks is a makers studio where the public is invited to view the artists at work.

The Asheville Museum of Science (AMOS) is Western North Carolina’s home for experiential science learning, discovery, and exploration. AMOS strives to spark the imagination and foster lifelong curiosity. We have plenty of science to come and explore including the Colburn Hall of Minerals, STEM lab, interactive panorama screen, Teratophoneus dinosaur skeleton and fossil dig, Southern Appalachian Forest tree climb, Terrabox elevation simulator, Toddler Nest, fun temporary exhibits, and museum store.

The Mountain Made Art Gallery features the work of over 150 Western North Carolina artisans, in both contemporary and traditional mountain arts and crafts. This unique gallery caters to those people who enjoy American-made handcrafts and wish to take a "piece of the mountains" home with them.

Grove Arcade is a beautifully preserved historical building in the heart of Downtown Asheville that represents the heart and character of the town. Largest model railroad in western North Carolina housed in the historic 1902 train depot in Hendersonville, NC. A 100' X 20' HO scale model railroad based on western North Carolina in the mid 1900s fills most of the depot and a real caboose sits just outside. Artifacts from real railroads are on display throughout the depot. The club has a 60' X 12' outdoor G scale layout that is very popular. Inside, there is also a separate Thomas the Tank train layout for young engineers to operate, a telegraph and an old engine name Pauline. For those interested, we also offer a scavenger hunt. Just ask one of us for a copy. The Apple Valley Model Railroad is open to the public Wednesdays 1 to 3 and Saturdays 10 to 2. Admission is free, and donations are greatly appreciated.

Located in Chimney Rock State Park, the Needle's Eye consists of 176 steep wooden stairs that lead hikers through a skinny passageway between two huge boulders.
