The Legendary Green Man has existed for centuries but it’s no myth that he’s been brewing great beer in Asheville since 1997. As home to one of North Carolina’s oldest breweries, tasting rooms and sour programs, Green Man has been producing some of the beer scene’s most iconic ales for many years. We are consistently recognized for our internationally loved traditional English styles and creative versions of the newest craft trends. Our brewers strive to bring innovative and exciting new flavors to all beer-loving folks. From Asheville’s first tasting room to one of Downtown Asheville’s largest tasting rooms, our storied growth has brought us to 2 brew houses, 3 tasting rooms, and 2 buildings. Our newest facility in Asheville’s South Slope Neighborhood is a 3 story, 22,000 sqft. packaging hall and specialty brewhouse including a “brewtique” and an indoor/outdoor taproom loft overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. Lexington Glassworks, located in the heart of downtown Asheville, NC, was born out of the desire to create timeless and innovative hand-blown glass. Each piece is skillfully crafted using century-old techniques with the singular goal of creating top-notch work. The gallery features high-quality custom lighting and handmade glass for any budget. Lexington Glassworks is a makers studio where the public is invited to view the artists at work.

The Asheville Museum of Science (AMOS) is Western North Carolina’s home for experiential science learning, discovery, and exploration. AMOS strives to spark the imagination and foster lifelong curiosity. We have plenty of science to come and explore including the Colburn Hall of Minerals, STEM lab, interactive panorama screen, Teratophoneus dinosaur skeleton and fossil dig, Southern Appalachian Forest tree climb, Terrabox elevation simulator, Toddler Nest, fun temporary exhibits, and museum store.

Using unique combinations of aromatic yeast strains, domestic and imported hops and award-winning malt varietys, Sugar Creek infuses traditional recipes with modern tastes and techniques to create beer that nourishes both mind and body. Tap room is where your exploration begins! We have constructed a large taproom and private event room and staffed it with kind, courteous and knowledgeable beertenders. On tap you will find all of our year-round beers as well as seasonal and small-batch releases. Beers are available by the glass, 4 oz. Tasting flights, and growler fills via our Pegas CrafTap growler filler. The taproom is open for exploration seven days a week! Sugar Creek Private Event Room Adjacent to our taproom is our 1700 sqft private event room, complete with a private outdoor patio, private bar, and overhead projector. Private events are available seven days a week, for parties as small as 15 people. In addition to offering a full range of our favorite beers, Sugar Creek is happy to provide food services or accommodate outside catering.

Cary Quilting Company is a full service quilting shop. We carry thousands of bolts of 100% quilting cottons, as well as notions, patterns, batting, and more. We offer Longarm Quilting services and offer classes for all abilities. We host bees and other sewing groups in our classroom as available. We are conveniently located just three miles off of I-40 and exit 287 in Cary, NC.

The Village Art Circle Studio & Gallery is a working studio of three fine artists. Patrons are welcome to not only view work but to also speak with artists about their processes and intention. Commissions are also available.

Located on the historic N.C. State Fairgrounds, The Raleigh Market is recognized as one of the Top 10 flea markets in the U.S. Each weekend, indoor and outdoor vendors showcase vintage goods and antiques, collectibles, new items, thrift items, crafts, art, jewelry and so much more. Food trucks, farm stands and fair food ensure customers do not leave hungry! The Raleigh Market is open Saturdays and Sundays, 9 am - 5 pm. Admission and parking are free.

Boxcar Bar + Arcade in downtown Raleigh is home to over 100 arcade-style games, including classic and modern arcades and pinball favorites, Skeeball, air hockey, free game consoles and more! We offer a full bar (including 24 craft drafts), a covered patio complete with an outdoor bar and live music stage, a dog friendly environment and so much more. We serve fresh, free popcorn daily and outside food is welcome.

Explore more than 14,000 years of North Carolina history, from the state's earliest inhabitants through the 20th century. The major exhibition The Story of North Carolina features fascinating artifacts, multimedia presentations, and an interactive format for all ages. Other exhibits highlight the state's military history, sports heroes, decorative arts and more. Monthly programs include children's programs, craft demonstrations and family events. The Museum Shop, featuring North Carolina crafts, and the on-site restaurant Pharaoh's at the Museum are open daily. Admission is free, although some special exhibits require a fee. Free parking is available on weekends in the Jones/Edenton Street lot. Museum hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
