Admission to the adjacent Sunnylands Center & Gardens is free (no pets please). It features art exhibitions, films, and educational programs. Visitors may also enjoy the café and nine acres of gardens. Sunnylands is open Wednesday through Sunday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Whitewater rafting is a thrilling way to experience the Grand Canyon, and whitewater rafting at Grand Canyon West with Hualapai River Runners is truly an experience like no other. Choose from the only 1-day whitewater rafting tours of the Colorado River, or 2-day and 5-day adventures. Not only will you conquer whitewater rapids, you’ll hike Travertine Cavern Falls, see wildlife along the canyon and enjoy meals along the banks of the river. Rafters will learn about the Hualapai Tribe and their connection to the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River from their certified Hualapai Tribe river guides. You’ll continue down the river and through the Grand Canyon on a smooth water ride viewing the towering canyon from a unique perspective. Some tours include a helicopter flight up to the top of Grand Canyon West where guests can walk 4,000 feet above the riverbed on Skywalk. Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved public spaces, offering its visitors a 15 acre natural escape in the heart of downtown. A half-acre children’s garden, an off-leash dog park, splash fountains, and paths for walking and jogging provide guests young and old with a place to seek solitude with nature, or seek community and the company of others. The Gardens offers a variety of horticultural education programs for adults and children. The centerpiece attraction of the Gardens is the Inasmuch Foundation Crystal Bridge Conservatory. Its unique design has earned attention and praise in the architectural community. It is 224 feet long, 70 feet in diameter, and is covered by 3,028 sections of translucent, double-layered acrylic panels. After an 18-month, $11 million renovation, it reopened to the public on November 18, 2022.
