Waterfalls, a canyon , the Siffleru River and the majestic Saskatchewan River are some of the joys of this accessible hike. The hike can be done year round and provides a wonderful perspective on the Kootenay Plans where the native Indians spent their winters due to the warm climate of the area. There are many other historical trails and excellent back country hiking in the vicinity.

Join the award winning Get Hooked Fishing Adventures for your next guided fishing experience in the Edmonton area. Your adventure is more than just a fishing trip. You may have the chance to explore fossil beds, pan for gold or photograph wildlife and majestic landscapes along the historic North Saskatchewan River or fish one of Alberta's largest lakes Lake Wabamun. All this less the an hour away from all the comforts of Alberta's capital city. Your adventure typically begins by meeting at the Canadian Tire in Spruce Grove. There is a Tim Hortons coffee shop there as well to grab a hot beverage and snack before we hit the road. Mike Owner/Operator Remember to keep your hook in the water and good things come to those who bait!

The Alberta Railway Museum, located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is a heritage outdoor display of railway equipment and buildings. It was constructed with the vision of preserving and interpreting the heritage of Canadian National Railways, Northern Alberta Railways, and short lines and industrial railways from Western Canada. The Museum replicates a small terminal with the original St. Albert station, a water tank from Gibbons and various buildings, locomotives, railway cars and track maintenance equipment. Being recognized as a historical landmark, the museum receives various requests annually for use as a monumental location for various events including weddings, birthdays and various celebrations. The artifacts provide a great stage for photography and videography. We are open seasonally Saturday to Sunday and Holiday Mondays, from Victoria Day to Labour Day from 10 am to 5 pm.

Enjoy local brews and epic views of the Chugach mountains at Girdwood Brewing Company. We have a beautiful timber framed taproom adorned with local art and ski relics. For those who prefer the outdoors, there’s an awesome beer garden with fire pits and plenty of seating. We offer up four core beers and a series of rotating taps. Root beer, cold brew coffee, and kombucha are available for those looking for an alcohol free beverage. Tasters and 12 ounce pours are available to drink in the taproom. If you are looking for beer to go, we fill growlers, sell 5 gallon kegs, and have 4-packs of 16 ounce cans with labels designed by Alaskan artists (for sale in the taproom only). Food trucks are on-site every day, and we have cool merchandise for you to take home. Girdwood Brewing Company is truly rooted in our community. We donate to a number of nonprofits and outdoor adventure organizations. Our brewery also provides year round employment to over a dozen locals.
