An exciting new escape room establishment in Loudoun County! Escape Room activities are an exciting way to foster collaborative thinking and problem solving. Each group must work together to solve problems; ranging from small and simple, to complex and multi-part problems.

Old Bust Head Brewing Company is an independent, solar-powered microbrewery in Fauquier County, VA west of DC. Our experience brewing traditional ales & lagers has helped us win awards in styles classic and creative. With beautiful views of slate roofed barns and refurbished campus-like brick buildings, Old Bust Head is part of a unique farm called ‘Vint Hill’ that for 50 years operated as a top secret military listening post. Familiar faces behind the bar share their love of craft in our 1950’s post & beam taproom while covered outdoor seating between our taproom and production area provides a welcoming environment for dogs and all-weather access to a rotating variety of food trucks.

We offer a 1 hour and 30 minute Fishing & Crabbing Adventures for kids. Come sail aboard the Sea Dragon on one of our four daily trips (9:15, 11:30, 1:45, 4:00). Kids will learn tips and techniques on fishing and crabbing, read a map, discover the local marine life, hold sea creatures such as crabs, minnows, fish, or eels, hoist up crab traps, and fish using light tackle equipment!

Catoctin Creek® Distilling Company was founded by Becky and Scott Harris in 2009 as the first legal distillery in Loudoun County since before Prohibition. We are located in Purcellville, Virginia, in the heart of the Loudoun Valley. Loudoun County, often called D.C.'s Wine Country, is home to more than twenty vineyards and wineries, and it now has a distillery. At Catoctin Creek, we believe in high quality food and spirits. Organic means higher quality: grain and fruit, sourced locally when possible, free of pesticides and chemical additives that would come through in the spirits we produce. Sure, it is more difficult to produce organically, but the results speak for themselves. The Virginia Rye Whisky!

Our vineyard was established in 2008 and contains blocks of the vinifera Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon and the hybrid Traminette. We continue to expand our vineyard a little each year. We opened our doors to the public in March of 2014 after winning Gold in the Virginia Governor's cup and were selected for the Governor's case for our Chardonnay. Discovery Station at Hagerstown, Inc. is a hands-on museum that provides life-long learning experiences to thousands of children and families each year. We create an environment that stimulates curiosity for discovery, exploration, and further investigation through exhibits and programs that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) principles.

Open Tues.-Sat. 10am-4pm. We suggest you call ahead to ensure tour guide availability. No appointment needed for library. The Franklin County Historical Society - Kittochtinny has been the county's historical society since 1898 and resides in the Old Jail, built in 1818. Guests may take a guided tour the original and 1880 cell blocks, dungeons, exercise yard, and other areas of the building. Admission: Adults $8, children $7, family rates available. See website for details. The tour involves going up and down steps and takes about an hour. A four room genealogy library is available to guests on the second floor of the jail. Librarians are on duty to assist with research. The Society also operates the John Brown House. Report to the jail first if taking a tour of the John Brown House. The gift shop is open to walk ins during open hours.
