The Phelps Youth Pavilion is a children’s museum with creative, hands-on experiences, from simple drawing and painting projects to magical high-tech adventures. With over 40 interactive exhibits, learning about art and culture has never been so much fun! Daily Admission $5 Per Person $2 with an EBT card FREE for members and children under the age of 1 Memberships Members are treated like VIPs with free admission, discounts on classes, and birthday parties, and 1/2 price admission to over 200 other children’s museums, among other great benefits. The Cedar Valley Arboretum and Botanic Gardens is a stunning 40 acre oasis of beauty and inspiration, nestled on the outskirts of Waterloo, Iowa. Our story began in 1996 by a dedicated group of volunteers and since then, we have flourished into a stunning display of flowers and trees, both native and exotic. The CVABG boasts many beautiful gardens, including the Hillside Welcome Garden, Rose Garden, perennial display garden, Shade Garden, and an award-winning Children's Garden. In 2014, the CVABG was the first garden in Iowa to attempt a mosaiculture, which are living sculptures. We also have a 4-acre Butterfly Conservation Meadow and a 1-acre demonstration orchard called the Master Gardeners Orchard among many other beautiful gardens. Come on out to discover the beauty and serenity!

The Waterloo Center for the Arts offers a multitude of different services, activities and classes for everyone! The Center is located on the banks of the scenic Cedar River in downtown Waterloo. Visitors enjoy the changing exhibitions of art throughout the Center in addition to indoor and outdoor spaces (including Rooftop Decks, RiverLoop Amphitheatre, Expo Plaza, Arts Mall & Mark’s Park) overlooking the river. The Center collects Midwest Art, American Decorative Arts, International Folk Art, including a significant collection of Mexican Folk Art and the worlds’ largest public collection of Haitian Art. Selections from our collection are always on display. We are also home to the Phelps Youth Pavilion, where art launches a world of wonder, discovery and learning.
