From meeting pelicans to viewing playful seals and, if luck permits, leaping dolphins and shy turtles - all this and more on our daily morning educational dolphin and seal cruises. We depart at 09h00 (check-in 08h30) every morning from our Jetty at the Walvis Bay Waterfront for a marine educational sightseeing tour in the bay area in search of the marine big 5: Whales, Dolphins, Mola, Leatherback turtle and seals. While serving hot coffee and tea, our initial route takes us past oyster farms to Pelican Point with its landmark lighthouse and 60,000 resident Cape Fur Seals. In season (July to November), larger mammals such as the Southern Right Whale and Humpback Whales are often spotted. Bottlenose, Heaviside and Dusky dolphins are regularly seen, as are Mola Molas and Leatherback Turtles. Our journey from Pelican Point takes us past some of the more interesting ships and oil rigs in the bay as we serve fresh oysters with sparkling wine, savoury snacks and desserts.

With no prior experience required both young and old can benefit from this excursion of a lifetime. On the 60 min scenic drive out to the Pelican Point peninsula, where your kayaking adventure begins, our guides enlighten you with an abundance of knowledge about the diverse wildlife that the Walvis Bay coast provides. Our very stable sit on top double kayaks give you ease of mind on the water where we rarely experience large swells. We supply water resistant clothing and dry bags for your cameras as the seals do love to splash. Weather permitted we kayak for +- 1.5 hours after which a picnic on the beach can be enjoyed before we make our way back to Walvis Bay via the salt mines.
