Family home to the 14th Earl and Countess of Stair, the Gardens were the inspiration of the 2nd Earl of Stair in the 1730’s and are famous for colourful displays of Rhododendrons, Azaleas and Embothriums, many rare and exotic plants, 21 Champion Trees and a number of spectacular avenues and the romantic ruins of 16th Century Castle Kennedy. This year we continue to enhance your visit to our Gardens with a wide range of events and activities for the whole family. These include monthly guided walks which follow a theme, pop-up evening events to open-air theatre productions. The Tea Room and Shop offers a selection of seasonal, local, home-baked foods and Scottish-made items that are ideal for souvenirs or gifts

You will require your own golf balls/clubs and football for the activity. The Driving Range is also open 7 days per week with various hours each day. A selection of clubs are available for users free of charge. Various basket sizes of balls can be purchased. The automated ball machine accepts contactless credit cards. Cash can be used during café opening times. The Curling Pond café is available for hot and cold drinks, soups and toasties, scones and traybakes, light bites and main meals.
