A soap museum dedicated to the history and science of soap. The museum is an old, restored 19th century building with high ceilings and original stonework. On display, are two old presses and other agricultural tools, typical of South West Sicily. The inspiration to open a soap museum, comes from our experience in making and producing soap and natural cosmetics. We would like to share our passion and knowledge about the history, science and technicalities of soap making, to eveyone interested in learning more about this essential product, which started to be produced in 2800 B.C. All the visits to the museum are guided tours, and at the end of your visit you will have the chance to try our products. We are open ONLY with a reservation, and you may book a tour online or by calling us.

Luna Castle stands on solid rocks, in a dominant position at the top of the east part of the city and it is a perimeter’s part of the ancient city walls, which still exist in part today. The massive medieval Castle of Sciacca was built in 1380 by Guglielmo Peralta, Earl of Caltabellotta, who became one of the four deputies of Sicily Kingdom after the death of King Federico III (1377). The Castle passed to Luna Earls when Nicolo’ Peralta, son of Guglielmo, died and one of his three daughters Margherita married Artale Luna, who was Catalan and uncle of King Martino. It consists of four parts: the walls, the tower, the Earls’ palace and the cylindrical tower. Overall the Luna Castle of Sciacca has not a disproportionate dimension but, not without its monumental nature, it represents one of the interesting examples of civil and military architecture of ‘300 existing in Sicily. Decorazione di vasi, piatti, pannelli con temi floreali, figurativi, effetti 3D, metamorfosi, modern style, black and white con di tecniche personali che mi portano alla creazione di nuove linee che si presente semplicemente sobrie ed elegante per ambienti Moderni. Composizione ricercate, entro una ritmica di forme eleganti tanto da trasformarsi in opere d'Arte. Accolgo e fondo lo stile della tradizione ceramica di Sciacca rinnovando con gusto contemporaneo.
