Bodegas Baigorri
Ctra. Vitoria-Logrono Km 53, 01307 Samaniego Spain
Bodegas Baigorri is located in an exceptional enclave, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria mountain range and surrounded by a sea of vineyards. In Samaniego, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, a glass box emerges to reveal a winery that harmoniously develops its entire structure below the surface on seven underground floors. The winery was designed and built by the architect Iñaki Aspiazu, and opened in 2002. It is a benchmark for sustainability and modern architecture that blends into the landscape while respecting the environment in which it is located. The design is guided by the winemaking process, seeking to achieve the highest quality of its wines, returning to traditional systems and recovering gravity as its main ally. As a finishing touch to the visit, it surprises with its restaurant located on the sixth underground floor. A place to enjoy, after visiting the impressive building that houses the winery, with views of the vineyards and the barrel room.

Bodegas Amaren
Ctra. Villabuena de Alava 3, 01307 Samaniego Spain
Amaren, “a mother’s wine”, began with the 1995 vintage as a tribute to Angeles, the mother of the cellar owner Juan Luis Canas, who currently guides our family’s destiny. AMAREN, which means “of the mother” in Basque, was the first wine conceived, made and sold by Bodegas Luis Canas to position itself among the most outstanding wines in the country.
