We are a Non-Profit (OBC -Organización con Base Comunitaria = Community Based Organization) registered in the Regional Offices of MIAMBIENTE in Las Tablas as “Tortugas Playa Venao” AKA Save The Turtles Playa Venao dedicated to helping revitalization, increasing the survival rate and conservation of marine turtles - mostly Olive Ridleys (Lepidochelys olivacea). Our primary mission is to provide protection and conservation and increase the survival rate of the sea turtles that nest at Playa Venao. To achieve these goals, we strive to reduce the impact of predators and poachers, create incentives for alternate income for those who generally eat and sell the eggs, and educate the surrounding local communities with engaging and meaningful research we conduct in our project. The Surf Dojo was designed to use the most efficient tools available to increase athletes’ learning curves. It features state of the art education facilities, a surf specific gymnasium, pump track, Carving bowl, Trampoline station, aerial ramp, social media lab, and auditorium. This surf camp is located just a few miles from some of Panama’s best surf breaks. Coaching programs are held year round at the Surf Dojo and cater to a wide variety of age groups and ability levels for recreational and competitive surfers alike. We offer from two to seven day surf camps, for recreational surfers and competition surfers alike, in addition to specialty camps based on surfing skills, like our Skills Coaching Camps and Competitive Training Camps. Our training is based on three principles: Master your craft: 1/ Use the right tools to do the job. 2/ Keep it fun. 3/ Because repetition makes perfect. Our Program will speed up your learning curve and help make your goal a reality. At the Surf Dojo, we use a number of different training tools and techniques to help you become a better surfer. Speed up your learning curve not by practicing more but by learning to be more efficient with your training time. Our world class outdoor skate facility caters to all ability levels, with a triple split level half pipe, and two roll-in and foam pits, Pump track, Carver wave, and trampolines for aerial awareness.
