The Inashiki Summer Festival Fireworks began in 1996. It centers around stage events during the daytime, with a fireworks display at night. It is one of the largest fireworks displays in Ibaraki Prefecture in terms of the number of shells, including star mines and coordinated displays that spell out messages, with a breathtaking finale featuring Japan's largest star mines as the biggest highlight. The spectacular star mines set the night sky ablaze with colors.
