The Hamura Flower and Water Festival lasts for about one month with the first half being the Cherry Blossom Festival and the second half being the Tulip Festival. During the Cherry Blossom Festival, the 200 cherry trees blooming along the Tamagawa Aqueduct and Hamura Intake Weir are lit up amid food stalls. On the second Sunday of April, floats and portable shrines from local shrines parade around. The portable shrines crossing the river through the water is a real spectacle. The Tulip Festival is when 35 species of 400,000 tulips bloom at the Negarami-mae Suiden field upstream from the Hamura Intake Weir. The tulips create bright bands of color in the area.

The Hamura City Local Industry Fair brings together the city's farming, merchant, and industrial communities and consumer groups for people to see and experience what they offer. With the guidance of local experts, visitors can try making something or enter a cooking contest using local vegetables. Panel displays also show the city's manufacturing industries, technologies, and products. Stage entertainment include live bands, Hamura taiko drummers, and Japanese-style dancers. Booths also sell local products and produce, food, and drinks. The fair is fun and has lots to offer.

Around Hamura Station, Hamura Tokyo Prefecture

The Hamura Summer Festival centers on the area around JR Hamura Station. They have many events such as a lantern procession, Hamura's unique Ninba dance, minyo folk dance, and Samba parade. The many food booths serve cheap, local fare such as ham rice burger and ham rice croquette. Free shuttle buses for the festival run during the festival.
