Welcome to Connecticut's oldest house! Construction of the Henry Whitfield House began in 1639 when a group of English Puritans, including Reverend Henry Whitfield and his family, entered into an agreement with the Menunkatuck band of the Quinnipiac tribe and renamed the area Guilford. Discover its fascinating and complex stories with a self-guided tour of three floors of exhibits, furnishings, and artifacts. The Visitor Center features a gift shop, research library (by appointment), and exhibit galleries. You're also invited to play the free outdoor "I Spy" Bingo game available at the parking kiosk.

The Connecticut Shoreline Bike & Boat Tour is a leisurely guided bike ride that combines the beautiful rocky shoreline of Connecticut with a narrated boat tour of the Thimble Islands in the Long Island Sound. We provide the bikes, helmets, boat excursion, guide, snacks and beverage. We start at the historic Guilford Green and meander quiet country roads with views of the Connecticut shoreline to the village of Stony Creek. Allow 4 hours for the full tour totaling 19 leisurely miles and the 45 minute boat tour.

Anna says: "I walked in to a very professional, clean, and calming spa environment and met Maria, the owner. She greeted me by name even though it was our first time meeting...the waiting area was dimly lit and tranquil with soothing music. It was a good place to get ready for a massage even if you're filling out paperwork (not too dim for that). Shortly after, the massage therapist came to get me and brought me to the room that was similarly dimly lit and very relaxing. The room was very nice and comfortable and I liked that it had no windows, making it dark enough so zoning out during the massage would be easier to achieve."
