Palmers Brewery
Old Brewery West Bay Road, Bridport DT6 4JA England
Palmers has been brewing authentic cask conditioned real ales in the West Dorset market town of Bridport since 1794. Each year thousands of visitors join us on our guided tours to look around the historic brewhouse, following the traditional process from the raw ingredients to a few halves of the final product. It is a process that in many ways has changed very little in the last two centuries. Where it has been updated it has always been in the pursuit of quality. We live in a day and age where it is fashionable to claim to be passionate. If Palmers has a passion it is for quality, ensuring that every pint reaches our customers in perfect condition. Investing in our storage, transport, cellars and most importantly in training the people who handle our ales from the brewery to our licensees and their teams. Cask Marque, the leading organisation that monitors beer quality in UK pubs, described us as “obsessive”, a compliment we are happy to take.
