Explore the museum! Brest’s Museum of Fine Arts Founded in post-war France, the museum of fine arts houses an extensive collection of paintings, sculptures and graphic arts (drawings and prints)... readily associated with the city’s maritime tradition. Since its opening in 1968, it has continued to enrich its collections and now presents a visit itinerary that showcases seascapes, history painting, the Symbolist movement, the Pont-Aven School and the Nabis. The collections are displayed in themed galleries. The museum also runs: themed tours, children’s workshops, performances, storytelling, films, music and much more! A place of discovery and sharing for all the family! Temporary exhibitions are held two or three times a year, punctuating the life of the museum.
