Walk into a wonderland of flying butterflies! Around 700-1000 butterflies are housed in an outdoor sanctuary where they are safe to fly, feed, breed, lay their eggs and continue their magical life cycle which you can explore up close and personal. At the butterfly breeding lab viewing area you can see our volunteers at work, looking after the eggs and chrysalises, and feeding our hungry caterpillars. Wander through the tunnel and watch a short video capturing the life cycle of a Monarch butterfly, then emerge into the magical, flower filled butterfly sanctuary where you can see hundreds of butterflies flying on any day. Tip: Wear bright colours and have your camera ready when a butterfly lands on you.

At Bribie Hire Hut we offer many fun things to do for the whole family. Operating in a beautiful part of the world with Moreton Bay marine park and the Pumicestone passage literally at our doorstep with dolphins, dugongs, turtles and abundant birdlife. Experience this diverse eco system first hand by hiring water-bikes, kayaks or standup paddle boards to get out on the water - or just to have some water fun! We also offer 5 minutes introductory demonstrations for 'first time’ paddlers. For those who prefer to watch from the land and maybe try something new, we offer 3 wheel electric trikes for use along the coastal path. Or for families with little ones, you can try a 4 seater Berg Go Kart and just have some fun in the sun!
