One of the finest examples of an 18th-century Palladian Country house in all of Britain. There is so much to do at Paxton House! House tours, highlighting our exceptional and Recognised collections of Chippendale and Trotter furniture, pictures on loan from the National Galleries of Scotland, fantastic original costumes from 1750, Stables Tearoom (full of homebaked deliciousness), a lovely gift shop, extensive grounds, a pretty formal garden, rustic adventure playground, galleries, exhibitions, boat trips and net fishing on the River Tweed. Our Garden Apartment, South Lodge and our Walled Garden Caravan Park are available for those who would like to stay and enjoy Paxton House for longer.
